Anna Marie smiled as she walked through the veegetated area of the Southern rivers. She had heard that there would be dangerous beasts here but she didn't care about that info. All she wanted was to be near the rumored large river. I can finally practice my magic, she said aloud to herself, jumping up and down as she did so. After months of traveling in the dry lands of Exile territory, with only tiny oasis' for practice she was happy to find a well stocked source. Plus, she would be able to find plenty of food in the forested area.
Giggling to herself, she finally came upon the river. Hmmm...it's not as large as I thought it would be but it's better than any tiny oasis, she exclaimed happily as she bounded towards only to be hit by something large from the side, knocking the wind out of her as she flew several feet before hitting a tree and landing on her side. Oww, she said under her breath, rubbing her know sour back as she looked to find the source.
There, standing before her, was a large brown bear, standing at about her size while on it's feet and 5 times her weight. Sniffing the air, it looked at her before letting out a fearsome gorwl before charging her once again. With an audible sigh, she reluctantly pulled out her twin daggers. She didn't relish in the thought of killing the wild brute, but she didn't want to see her family just yet either. Rushing the bear, she began to attack, slashing at it's fatal points.
After missing the first few times, though not yet injured she jumped back and rushed once more. With success, she finally hit the bear in the heart but this time, she didn't come out unscathed. Just before it died, the bear was able to leave a gash across her lower stomach, quickly bleaching her white dress a deep red. Falling to her knees, her vision began to fade as she began to fall into unconciousness. No....not yet, she whispered before she passed out next to the body of the gigantic bear.

Vaga Ronin had been tracking the giant bear for a while now and the blond haired agyl forerunner had the bear in the sights when it had attacked Anna. He cursed when the bear had gotten up on its feet and slashed at the girl. For the girl's credit she held her own against the bear up until it slashed her on its way to oblivian. Swearing considerably louder Vaga rushed to the girl's side and checked to see if the girl still had a pulse. After he found one he got to work on treating the girl's wounds. By the time he had finished it was geting dark and he had set up a small fire. He had also set up a splint and had some of the meat from the bear cooking over the fire. Payment for treating her.

With a groan, I stretched my arms high above my head and squinted my eyes as I attempted to awaken from my slumber. It was then that I noticed the pain in my lower abdomen. Ow... I said under my breath before memories of what had happened flooded my mind. That's right, I fought that gigantic bear, I thought as I opened my eyes. Looking around me, I noticed it had gotten dark and that somebody had built a campfire. Looking down at the wound I had sustained, I noticed that it had been bandaged. Apparently, some kind samaratin had come along and helped me. But, I currently couldn't see the person; either they weren't there or it was because of the dark. Hello, I called in hopes of finding my savior.

Vaga turned to the girl when she spoke and saw that she was awake. He was a bit surprised by how short of a time she had been out. 'Your awake already? He. You just cant stay down can you?' He cut off a peice of the bear meat and placed it on a kabob that he had before walking over to Anna and giveing it to her. 'You should just rest for now. It would be a bad idea if you moved and started to bleed again.'

The voice that seemed to emit from the darkness surprised me before I took a closer look and noticed that my savior was right infront of me. Well now I feel silly, I thought, glad the darkness could hide my blush. Thanks, I said cheerfully as I accepted the kaboob. I assumed it was bear, seeing as it was already dead and there was no use in killing another creature. Naw. I'll be fine, I said with a smile as I ate my kaboob, which was actually rather tasty. By the way, why were you out here, so far in the wilderness, I questioned. Sure, I was out here pretty far too, but I was here to train. It didn't hurt to be curious about this person's resasons. Oh, and what's your name, I inquired as it dawned on my that I didn't even know his name.

'The main reason that Im so far out here is that I was tracking the big brute that you took down for a few days and I was just about to get rid of him right as it attacked you. The other reason is that my tribe is now all in the range of twelve feet under to 6 feet up. And the answer to our next question, my name is Vaga Ronin. Just call me Vaga.' Vaga said that almost causily, it had been a blast it long time sence his tribe had been destroyed. 'I told you my name and why Im out here so who are you and why are you out here, other than to be attacked by bears.'

Anna Marie felt instant sadness for the happenings of his tribe, but she didn't say anything about it, trying not hurt him with any painful memories. Well, it's nice to meet you Vaga! She said enthusiastically with a smile that reached from ear to ear, showing off her perfect white teeth. And sorry for taking your kill. My name is Anna Marie and I was actually out here to practice my magic. There aren't many sources of water out here so I when I heard about this river, I just had to come here! And, when I was about to reach the river, this bear attacked me, she replied sheepishly, knowing it was a silly reason to be out here in the dangerous forest by herself. I'm just a trouble magnet, I guess.

Vaga smiled when Anna apologised for takeing his kill. 'Its fine. Realy it was going to end up dead anyway. Dont worry about dregeing up painful memories, I already got rid of the bandits that killed them all. They deserved it.' He had been realy pissed at the guys and had tortured them before killing them. He and been in one of his crule spells and had snapped out of it when the bandits were dead. 'You might be. You do know that the rainny season is comeing soon and the Oasis will swell to the point of the town nearby almost becomeing a swamp.' He laughed for a moment at that thought. 'Its alright. It happens.'

Anna Marie smiled at Vaga before her face became that of shock. How the hell...can he read minds? She thought, trying to figure out how he had known why she wasn't going to bring up his tribe. Ummm...what do the towns people do during this season? If their villiage is swamped, how do they live there, she inquired, confused upon why anyone would want to live in a place that flooded. Sure, it was near water, but it was a bit to close. Why don't they try to build some kind of structure to stop the flooding?

'Hehehe. I just guess right alot. Its not the town its the oasis that is a swamp. They just build far enough away to make sure they dont have to walk in the mud that much. The festival should be happening now. Hahaha. Well, why arent you with your tribe?' He knew if she had gone threw the same thing as he had then some painful memories would be dreged up.

Anna Marie felt like a big idiot. She should have known that he said the OASIS was the swamp and not the town. She was so stupid sometimes, it was not even funny. Actually, it was funny for everybody else but her. Anyway, she had heard of the festival that was going on but she had decided not join in the festivities. things like that wer always over populated and she just tended getting shoved to the side, as well as her wings tended to be pinched.
Well, you see, she began, trying to think of a way to explain why she wasn't with her tribe when Vaga inquired upon it. It was really only my parents and me. that was my tribe. But, we were ambushed one day when I was really young and I'm the only one left. but it's ok. I learned to fend for myself and be independant. I don't have to really on others to survive. Plus, I know that if I cry and mope, they wouldn't be happy so I try to be the best person I can be for their sake, I said with a sad smile.
Then, she removed the sad smile and put on a cheerful face. But know's not the time to be talking about depressing things! We should be talking about careless things like, ummmm.... what's your favorite color? She blurted out, saying the first thing that popped into her head.

Appearing silently behind Anna Marie, Grey uttered quietly "Mine are gray and silver, although I believe you weren't asking me, am I correct?" chuckling softly he looked expectantly at Anna Marie. "I do hope that my appearance did not frighten one as fair as yourself, after all your wings and eyes match that of the Quel'etan line of Aegyls." While saying this he slowly let one of his gray wings slip out of the cloak he was wearing.

Anne Marie jumped in surprise as the deep voice of a man sounded from behind her, answering the question she had asked. Turning her attention away from the previous person with whom she had been conversing, she looked up to see who had appeared behind her without her noticing. Looking upon the new arrival with a confused and shocked face, she noticed that he looked rather like a death angel with his dark wings and eyes. Yet, he did not look like the type to hurt others for sport and he seemed to have a sense of humor from what he had said.
Deciding to answer any questions or respond to his phrases that he made, she smiled up at him and motioned for him to have a seat at the fire, hoping that Vaga would not mind the new arrival. Oh, well, you certainly surprised me! And though my question was not meant for you, you are free to answer it. And you do not frighten me, good sir, Anne Marie said jokingly. But, I don't understand what you said at the end. What is the Quel'etan line, the blue-eyed girl inquired, for she had never heard of the race of Aegyls before, though she herself was one.

Grey, curious as to the unfamiliar personality that was in the girl before him, decided to speak in a way aegyls did,"Happiness, I feel it at your words of kindness toward myself, Quel'etan, it is you but not you, perhaps around you, or perhaps in you, maybe none at all." Speaking like this was customary to aegyls when flirting. Aegyls who are speakers or subjects of such speech will often have the urge to lightly flutter their wings at hearing it, even as he said it he too felt the urge to flutter his wings as well. "Time, it will tell. Whether you will understand, or whether you will not, time is still the one to tell this tale. hehehe, my wings are tingling, perhaps yours are too." His gaze then shifted to Vaga, he seemed to make a confused expression while looking at him."you....Why do I feel like I've seen you before? Oh, Mi'dorus Repach`e!(Oh, my deepest apologies!) Where are my manners, I am sorry for intruding so abruptly; Vaga Ronin, Anna Marie. My name is Grey. I do hope that I didn't interrupt something ummm....? blast it, living over 1000 years and still can't think of the right words for this situation!" he said this with his hand on his forehead."sorry, age doesn't always come with knowledge, sometimes it comes with ignorance. Hahahaha...."

Anne Marie listened in curiosity as the new comer spoke, her wings beginning to tingle as the urge to flutter them came to mind. However, she resisted, not knowing why her wings so suddenly felt like they should move in the way a bird does when its singing. And she didn't even understand what the newest addition to the party was saying, having raised herself. She had heard her parents whisper things that sounded like this, poetic in style, but they had always been quiet enough for her to not make out actual words. Aside from that, she hadn't much contact with her kind and didn't know many of it's culture. But, it did sound nice.
As the dark angel spoke, this time about time bringing understanding, he also mentioned that his wings began to tingle, much like the exact thing she was going through. He then went on the address Ronin before giving his name to be Grey, also giving his age to be over 1000. Anna Marie couldn't help but stare at Grey with surprise. 1000?! blast it, your old, she exclaimed, teasing him before going on to answer his questions. And no, Grey, you were not interrupting anything. You see, he helped me after I was wounded from killing this HUGE bear, the golden haired girl exclaimed, making hand gestures to go along with it. And as for your earlier statement, my wings feel a need to flutter from a similar tingling feeling, though I know why not. Why is it they tingle so, the young Aegyl inquired, hoping that Grey would give her an answer to her questions.
