Crossing the seemingly endless stretch of water that lay between Dez's mainland and Santari was difficult and often cosed more then a forchen to get onto one of the ships that gariteed safe passage to the other side. Abra was amazed that her grandfather had the money for one person let alone their whole group. The Elder paid the amount without even seeming aware of the huge amount he was jest handing over to the captain of the ship. Still, Abra couldn't spend much time caring about the price. She was still ticked to find out the Don who had sponsored the games was an old friend of the Elder. It didn't seem right to her that someone who had let hundreds of Parathariens die should be in the Elder's good graces. Then again, he was doing alot of things that didn't make sence for him. After all, Reno was now going to be openly accepted by all paraths. Well, maybe not a parath like Dama, but they were leaving this place behind. Hopefully long enoght for the she-witch to quit trying to get them.
Thinking of Dama made Abra's tail twitch and her hands check for her daggers. They were in a crowed and busy place getting ready to cross a wide open expanse. If Dama wanted to do something either now or later when their on the ship would be best. Thoughts of Dama also lead back to the element who had been in the cell with her. He hadn't said much sence rejoining them but he had a haunted expression on his face like fate had jest given him a death sentence. She had thought he might have a fear of sailing, but he controlled water. This should feel like as much of a home coming to him as it did to her.

Reno, by compairison to Abra, was haveing a much better time. Don had mostly kept to himself but he could feel the man's eyes on him, not realy anything strange but almost...parental. He didnt realy like it but he had the feeling that it would realy hurt this man, break him more than the sands had. And the Elder was mostly in his cabin with Don so that was a releif. Plus there was such a mix in this town that there was atleast 30 people that were a full head shorter than him, ah the wonders of height. Still, he was mostly just hitting the stalls to see what supplies he could get. While looking he spotted a strange dagger with two edges and a dimond shaped tip. When questioned the merchant said it was a Moroha Tantô, a remnant of an achent culture reforged. He bought it, useing a good bit of his gold in buying it and used the rest of it buying supplies such as water and long lasting food before carring it to the boat. As he got there he noticed Abra and pulled out the sheithed dagger. "Abra, here." He then tossed the dagger underhanded to her, "Its a different weapon than your knives. Dont throw it." He then carried the rest of the supplies into the belly of the ship, hopefuly they would have enough.

Abra caught the dagger and looked at it for a few moments. A gift? And from Reno. She gripped the hilt of the dagger and unsheathed it to examine the blade. It was different from the ones she had and could already tell it's wight was wrong for a throwing dagger without Reno telling her not to throw it. Still the stile of the blade was different from anything else she has used before. Growling slightly she slipped it into her bag and followed Reno into the belly of the ship. He must want something if he's giving her something. Even with the gift the Elder blessed him with he was still human. He had motives to suit his own needs in what he was doing. "So none of my other daggers are good enoght now?" She growl coming up behind Reno.

Reno turned around to face Abra when she growled at him and shook his head. "I didnt say that. Take a look at the point of the blade, its dimond shaped. Meaning it is a armor pearcer. If we encounter any bandits with that armor that Dama's slaves had then you should at least have something that can stop them." Then the large bellowing sound of the ship horn sounded, announceing they were about to shove off. "Well, seems that it is time to leave the sand." He stowed away the supplies that he bought and walked up to the main deck to see them off. He hated the sand and he wanted to see it as it faded into the distance.

Abra stopped following Reno once he was back on deck, but didn't feel right about accepting any gift. Then again, he's had to save her twice from Dama. She was already deep in his dept, but at least he didn't seem to have any intention of making her repay him. Sheathing the dagger she went into her room not wanting to have to watch the hot sand leave when she knew she will only have to come back again later. She still felt loyal to the tribe, even if she would like it better with the snow. ----- Zeain hesitantly walked over to stand next to Reno and looked down at the water, though he frequently looked up to see the disappearing shoreline. "She's going to come and kill me... You and the Parath too..." He said, with a shaky and quite voice while a small orb of water raised up from the sea and into his hand. He staired into it, seeming to lose himself.
The meeting he had with one of Dama's other slaves only a few minutes before meeting up with Reno's group still played over and over again in his head. 'Take the Parath and the foolish Human to Dama, and she will spare your life. Continue to run and you'll be killed. Help them and she'll make your death last years before it will finally end.' With that said they left him. He didn't know what to do now. Bring Abra and Reno to her and jest accept his servitude or does he leave them so when she does find him his death will be quick.

Mireya ran as fast as she could towards the docks, persued by guards who had seen her finish off a drug dealer shed been hired to kill. He had stolen a hefty amount of currency from the one that hired her, the currency that now lay safely in her robe pocket. The hood miraculously still up as she stopped at the end of a dock, the end of the line! She looked around, what could she do without destroying the dock!
She glanced at a boat. would the promiss of money ensure her safe passage on it? she doubted it. They would see the guard rushing at her and not want to help her! she turned around and prepared to fight. She didnt want to realy but shed have no choice...

Reno sighed when Zeain walked upto him and told him that Dama wouldnt stop trying to kill him. "I doubt she ever will. Listen Zeain, with the Arena gone Dama has little use for you except for hard labor and other things of a nature I feel not compelled to answer. She sees her slaves as toys, playthings and once she gets bored of them she throws them away...Listen, I know you hate me for what Abra and myself have done but trust me, it is for the best." He had the feeling that his words were falling on deaf ears by the look of Zeain's glazed over eyes so he turned back to the shore. Just as they were shoveing off he spotted a single girl fighting off a few of the city guard on a near by dock. He watched them for a moment, eyebrow lifting when he saw the girl use a alchemy circle to summon a weapon. So she was an alchemst. He waiting untill his ship was about to pass the dock that she was on before getting her attention, mostly by yelling a loud "Hey!", before clapping his hands together and slamming it into the metal railing of the boat, makeing it move towards the girl. Once the girl was onboard he would transmutate the railing back, and move it untill it was somewhat like what it was before he transmutated it. Why he did it? Most likely because the girl didnt have the aura of a slaver, nor anyone that deals with slaves.

The sweet smelling smoke coming from both the Elder's cigarette and the incense he was burning choked the air of the cabin he and the Don were in. The Elder was mediating in front of a bowl full of water, but he would sometimes open his sightless eyes and look at the bowl. Each time the look of frustration would grow on his face, as he's always been blind he never learned to have to hide his expressions. After about the tenth time opening his eyes to look at the bowl the water turned black before shattering and spilling out across the floor. The Elder muttered a prayer under his breath before 'looking' over at the Don. "It seems... That things in Santari have changed for the worst... Along with other things across the borders. Unforchantly, neither of us will be live long enoght to see what exactly." He said in a somewhat haunted voice.
A light smile played on his face though once something he remembered from before came to mind. "But your soonest worries are going to be how your going to mange riding one of the snow beasts again... And try not to cuss about them so much when the Lupan's are about. They take it offencive and your lucky they didn't fill you with arrows the last time we were there. ------------------------------------------------- Zeain looked at the women with the same fear fulled eyes he looked at everyone with. He let go of his control of the water as soon as he saw what was happening on the docks and moved to stand behind Reno wishing that he had some other place to be or that he could at least disapire.

Mirage looked over at the railings and was amazed some one had offered help, not one to pass up an opportunity to escape a bad situation she punched her guard in the face and ran swiftly up the railings, her face, hidden by her heavy hood turned towards the person that helped her. The first thing that came to mind was, how he was nice to help out, but secondly she noticed how small he was... she herself was tall for a woman, and she was a young one at that.
She made it aboard just as the railing was closing behind her, she listened to the swear words the guard yelled at her and laughed as he shouted for her to get back there, as if! she idly noticed a person hiding behind behind the first man with a confused look. Why was the dude hiding? was she that scarey looking. She had to do an inward shrug on that one, yeah, she was. "Thanks." She said, the sound of her voice allerting to the fact she was female. "They werent going to let me off the hook." She said with a smile that couldnt be seen beneath her hood.
She usualy left it up, she wasnt exactly a people person.

When Reno saw that the woman cleared him by atleast three heads he instantly became pissed. When someone was that tall it really PISSED HIM OFF! He gave a rude guesture to the guards before turning to the tall alchemst. "I was only doing that to help a fellow alchemst, nothing else." He then turned and headed below deck before retireing to his cabin. He was going to get it from Abra. ===== Don sighed, breathing in the sickly sweet fumes of the cigarette and insence, a welcome releif to the chokeing sands that cloged the air in the desert. Part of the reason that he was near death. "What else is new. There is always something wrong with Santari, if not plague then famine, if not famine, droughts, if not droughts wars. Why wont your lands just behave for once. And the only way you will get me back onto one of those snow beasts is if it eats me. And they will only waste arrows if they..." Another violent bout of coughing eclipsed him and it didnt end untill he coughed up about three ounces of his blood. "blast it...It is now happening must more frequent." He then desended into one of his mumbleing rants. The Elder knew well enough that Don wouldnt be out of it for a while.
