The whole tribe was abuzz with talk and merchents trying to sell their goods. The tribe had encountered another tribe waundering across the sands and if all went well they would be traveling together across the sands by morning. All the more people to say that im small. That depressig little thought came from a little alcamist called Reno Zoia, known by anyone in a bar for his short temper on his size and for his strange abilities at alcamy. He sighed, turned into another "street" away from the main crowd and crashed into someone. 'blast it it! Whatch where your going!' He would have said that abit more kindly but he was more than a little pissed from the crowd.

"How about You watch it Kid?!" A black furred Paratharien snarled back at him with a shove to his chest to make her point clearer. She paused though, looking at his shoulder area as she felt something hard and cold under his clothes. 'Most likely some kind of body armor. Everyone seems paranoid these days. Even the kids it seems.' She thought, assuming that the guy was a kid as he wasn't any taller then she was. She staked pass him after a moment and continued on threw the crowd, hoping to find some one less... Human at least. It was hard before even with the Paraths that stayed with the tribe like her. But now add a whole other tribe with humans and it was almost completely impossible.
Abra paused as a new smell came into the air and she did a quick look around to try and find the source of the pleasing scent. Her eyes fell on a newly set up stand that had a grill roasting meat for the noon time meal. A crowd was quickly gathering around it and she found herself unthinking trying to push her way into it to try to get to the front. One of the humans the crowd wasn't having that and picked her up by the scurf of her neck and threw her easily out into the dirt street. She landed skillfully on her feet before turning to face the man, who was much larger then her and simply backhanded her to knock her on her back side "Wait your turn Mutt." He spat before turning back into the crowd.
Growling, Abra go up and started to walk away again. There had to be someone in this new tribe that didn't hate her kind.

Normaly Reno would have beaten the crap out of the parth for calling her kid but she was off before he could do anything. 'blast it it.' He brushed himself off and walked in the general direction that Abra went and saw her being back handed and would have almost enjoyed it if the human didnt call her a mutt. He glared at the man before steping towards him. 'And what makes you much better than her? You have just as much hair as she does, maybe because you can get drunk and piss where ever the hell you please you drunken worm?' The man glared at Reno and said the worst things he could have done at that moment. "Shut up shorty. Kids like you should go and try to do something useful." Reno didnt even bother saying any words to the man but quickly had the man on the ground and a piece of coal from the fire pressed to the man's chest. As the man screamed Reno yelled at the man with a voice that would make even the most harden criminal think it was the voice of Satan. 'Do you know who I am! I am Reno Zoia! Dont you dare forget that you useless mongrel!' At that point the man was almost begging for his life so Reno let the man go who then ran away as fast as he could while Reno deposited the flameing coal back into the fire and walked over to Abra. 'I didnt do that for you, that kind of person deserves that kind of treatment. And for the record im not a kid. Long past it.'

Abra looked from Reno to the retreating Man's figure before going back to Reno. "My mistake." She said simply realizing she was out ranked considerablly after seeing his little show. "Thanks anyways. Nice to know at least some of you humans aren't completely heartless." She spoke while looking at the ground not wanting to meet Reno's eyes before turning to walk again. Not they she really disliked the guy now, but he might consider what he did as a favor to her even though he already said that, that wasn't the reason he did it. She had before been practically a servant once as someone from the tribe made her repay a "favor" like that, and she didn't want to have to go threw that again.

Reno followed after Abra, his mood realy improved after he could kill some of the anger in him. 'If you think you owe me something forget it. The bastard deserved what he got and I wont realy accept any favors.' He looked Abra over and thought for a moment. 'Your a ...Scout arent you? Well hopes to you becomeing a forerunner one day. Then those bastards might think twice.' As he was talking he wasnt aware of the glove on his right hand was burning off and by the time he noticed it his automail hand was already visible.

Abra looked at Reno, wounding if he was joking about her ever becoming a forerunner. Yes a Parath could see and hear much better and farther then any human and where accustom to extreme conditions, but a forerunner was a trusted member in the tribe. It was hard to see any Parath getting to the point. "I really don't see that happening... At least not any time soon." She said simply, before looking down at his hand. the glint of medal flashed in the sun light and her eyes widen in surprise for a moment, before her expression went back to normal. It wasn't any of her business if he didn't have an arm, so she wasn't going to ask. "I caught your name earlier Reno, so I'm Abra Black." She said, bowing slightly with the introduction before standing normally. "Mind if I ask what you do as you already know I'm a scout?"

Reno looked at Abra for a moment before pulling his arm so it was hidden in his coat. 'Pleasure to meet you Abra. Lets just say that im an alcamist, or a sinner. Doesnt realy matter to me.' He still hated himself for what he did that caused him to be exiled to Dez, and he was abit sure that his smile looked abit pained and struggled right now. 'Its nothing!' He turned away from Abra and walked down an "alley". And here comes the painful stream of memories. Reno thought to himself as he sighed and his sholders slumped downwards, a noticeable clanking came from his automail arms. He was starting to wish he didnt say that...

Abra watched him go with a curious expression, but didn't follow him or try to find out why he didn't want to talk about it. It wasn't any of her business and it shouldn't matter to her anyways why he was exiled and it didn't. She was born in exile after all.
She continued to walk down the street leaving Reno with his memories. Food was on her mind, but she knew better then to try and shove her way into the line again. She would jest have to hope that some would be left once the main crowd was done. Unlikely, but she wasn't going to risk getting tossed out of a crowd twice in one day. Word had a tendency to get around after all.

By the time the sun set and most of the people had gone to their homes Reno was at the enterance to his little hideout/home. It was a little known covered observation post on his tribe's cousil yurt, or large traveling wagon. The only way to get into it was to either make a stairway yourself or to climb the slick fabric of the yurt. At was the only place where Reno could be alone for a while. He clapped his hands together and slammed them, palms down onto the sand and a large staircase formed allowing him to walk up to his little house. Usualy he dismissed the staircase as soon as he was up in his home but this time he just walked over to the barrer of the observation post and placed one of his ciggerets into his mouth and lit it. It always felt alittle more normal when he was smokeing and Parths couldnt realy complan about the scent it left in the air. He made them so that there was only a slightly smokey tint left in the air when he was smokeing. He puffed out a small ring of blue green smoke and and watched as the air carried it away. It always happens, no matter what we try. Man is always bound by their laws... He shook his head and took another drag of his cigarete.

Night time, was the best time in Abra's opinion. The ever present day time heat vanished and the cold darkness came in. It seemed fitting to her that she was born covered with black fur. While she could be spotted easily during the day, it was all but impossible to see her now that night had set it. She moved about the home tents and such looking for her own place to lay out a few blankets and go to sleep. A curious sight came to her as she slinked threw the darkness, and soon she found herself standing by a set of stairs made of sand. She was almost afraid to touch it in case it deform into a pile of useless sand. It felt more like sand rock though instead of jest plain sand and she silently walked up them to try and take a look around.
She noticed a fumiler human sent on them as well, and the smell of a cigarette came to her but it was hardly as overpowering of an oder as normal ones were that made her feel sick when she was forced to be around them. This was only mildly unpleasant because the smell was still too alike to that of a normal cigarette and proght back the memories of angry faced humans. She pushed thoughts thought out of her mind though as she spotted who had left the human scent. 'Reno...' Well, it seemed clear now where he lived and it made sense in a way.
With her curiosity packated though she back down the steps and slowly to start her way back. Curiosity killed the Parath and all that.

Reno heard a slight scuffling and turned to see Abra walking away from his sand stairs. She must have seen him there. He kept his voice somewhat lower to make sure not to wake up others, but he was sure a Parath like Abra could hear it easily. 'Hello Abra. Seems I forgot to close the door and someone spies on me when I think im alone. He. You can stay here for the night if you want, theres plenty enough room.' While most tents could hold around 5 to 6 people the observation post could hold 4 people with out anyone feeling squished.

Abra turned and glared slightly at Reno. "I wasn't spying on you." She said as she turned and started to walk back over. She moved somewhat self consciously now that she had been caught, but she was grateful for the place to sleep. While sleeping outside was nice and it made less to carry it was nice to sleep in a tent once and awhile. "Thanks for the place to sleep anyways." She smiled tentatively before looking out over the sand. Tents stretched far out on one side and she found herself wondering jest now many people there where here. It was like a moving city in mass practically and it was difficult to believe that these people where either exiled for some reason or another or born here from the people that where exiled.

'Your welcome. Not alot of people look for an observation post here, mostly because it is hard to see and its not known that well.' After Abra had climbed the sand stairs to his little home he claped his hands and placed them on the stairs, makeing them act like normal sand and colapse into a pile that was swept away with the wind. 'Its surpriseing isnt it? All these people who were exiled from their realms or their ancesters were. They are living proof of how crule the realms can be.' As he said that he put his coat on the muzzle of a rusted rifle, revealing that both of his arms were automail and tended to some plants that were in the corner. A few of them were obously tabaco plants while others werent as easily noticeable but looked like herbs. 'So, how did you come to be in that tribe? Its getting abit rare to see any Paraths in this realm.'

"It's getting hard to see any Paraths at all..." Abra mummered looking up at the clear sky. The moon was only a small crescent in the sky and the next night it would be a new moon. "I came to the tribe when I was ten. Before then doesn't really matter. I'm sure you know of the plague that afflicted my kind, but I wouldn't blame you if you didn't know. My old tribe had been the last as far as I know as we had been cut off completely other then a group of traders that came by to trade goods and such." She explained, before looking down at one of Reno's arms. "They came during the night, my father tried to protect me but they slit his throat. I tried to get help, but one came up behind me and threw a rope over my neck pulling me down to the ground. I was muzzled, blind folded and had my hands tied behind me... We were forced to march into the night and next day. They left us in the middle of the desert. i guess they where going to try and sell us." She grinned now and she laughed at the memory. "They made the wrong choice for customers and they got the worst punishment possible. Even worst then death I think." She laughed again. "This tribe came and released us. I decided to stay with them after I couldn't find my mother." She sighed slightly shaking her head before looking up at Reno. "Your turn. What bring you to this wonderful piece of desert?"

Reno listened to Abra's story as he worked on his plants. He smiled when the her tale was done but it quickly disappeared and he snapped off part of a herb when she asked him about why he was here. He sighed deeply and turned to her, an expereson that said he realy didnt want to talk about it. 'To keep it simple I went too far into forbidden areas and did a transmutation that cost me my arms and made the kanji for bad carved into my back and sent me to this little sand trap. I got here about a year or two before the Quakes but Im not going to tell you anymore right now. Maybe when I trust you enough to give you my real name.' He looked at Abra for a moment to see how she would react before putting away the plants. He would have to think up of more ways to reduce the smell of his cigeretes sooner or later.
